Banwart, Community Development Director <br /> <br />June 7, 1990 <br /> <br />Communications <br /> <br />Recently, residents in the vicinity of the Juniper Woods Addition have contacted Councilmembers <br />and City Staff as to why they were not informed of subsequent meetings beyond the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />State Statutes provide, and.the City of Ramsey strictly adheres to proper mailing notification, <br />published notices and official notice postings when public hearings are required as in the case of <br />full-subdivision platting process. <br /> <br />In addition to the required letter of the law requirements for notification, the Community <br />Development Department has initiated the "Request for Additional Meeting Notifications" initiative. <br />Briefly, at the public hearing, residents will be given an opportunity to sign their name, address, <br />city, state and ZIP code to be notified of subsequent meetings. It is hoped by this effort, that those <br />residents who have a concern regarding any specific activity will be given the utmost notification of <br />such meetings and thereby providing them a full and maximum opportunity to participate as <br />residents in the development of our community. <br /> \ <br />For your information, attached is a copy of the "Request for Addition Meeting Notifications". <br /> <br />MSB:ccr <br /> <br /> <br />
