Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and AUTHORIZATION FOR ACQUISITION FOR CERTAIN STREET AND UTILITY EASEMENTS RESOLUTION ~90-06- WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to acquire right-of-way for Improvement Project #89-15 (Dolomite Street), which project will facilitate the construction of streets, sanitary sewer and watermain facilities generally in: Part of Lot 4, Block 5, Riverside West in Section 34, Township 32, Range 25; all in Anoka County, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the improvement consists of the construction of sanitary sewer and watermain facilities and a new street, all of said improvements in orderto provide for the health, welfare and safety of the residents of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, certain lands are required to provide temporary easements for said improvement construction. WHEREAS, the property owners from whom easements are required have been identified by the City as follows, to-wit: Parcel Temporary ~umber Owner Easement 1. Steven M. Blakemore 2,800 SF NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Attorney to proceed to acquire the temporary easements over said lands in accordance with Minnesota Statutes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that those lands as described above which cannot be acquired by direct negotiation shall be acquired by eminent domain and the City Council hereby requests the City Attorney to file the necessary petition therefore and to prosecute such action to a successful conclusion or until it is abandoned, dismissed or terminated by the City or Court. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon.
