JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR <br />LANDFILL ABATEMENT ACTIVITIES <br />By: James Gromberg, Project Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey is required by Anoka County to enter in a Joint Powers Agreement to <br />receive Landfill Abatement Funds for 1990. These funds must then be used by the City for <br />its landfill abatement activities. <br /> <br />A budget for the funds that the City is be eligible for is included with the proposed Joint <br />Powers Agreement. The activities include the components of the Make the Scene, Keep <br />Ramsey Clean budget that are considered landf'fll abatement activities. They also include <br />the purchase of the containers for the recycling program.
