CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> ANOKA COUNTY MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 90- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 130 <br />OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br /> TO REQUIRE LICENSES FOR PAWNBROKERS <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY ORDAINS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Chapter 130 of the Code of the City of Ramsey is <br /> <br />added to read: <br /> <br /> Section 130.12 Pawnbrokers <br /> <br /> Section 130.121 Pawnbroker Defined° <br /> <br /> A pawnbroker is a person who loans money on deposit of <br /> or pledge for personal property or other valuable thing, <br /> or who deals in the purchasing of personal property or <br /> other valuable things on condition of selling the same <br /> back again at a stipulated price, or who loans money <br /> secured by chattel mortgage on personal property, taking <br /> possession of the property or any part thereof so <br /> mortgaged. <br /> <br />Section 130.122 License Required. <br /> <br />No person, partnership, or corporation shall engage in <br />or carry on the business of a pawnbroker, without a <br />license issued by the City of Ramsey for each and every <br />separate office or place of business operated by such <br />licensee in the City of Ramseyo The annual fee for such <br />license shall be set by resolution. <br /> <br /> <br />
