Page 2 <br /> <br />NO PERSON SHALL CONDUCT, CAUSE OR PERMIT SALVAGE <br />OPERATIONS BY OPEN BURNING. <br /> <br />THIS PERMIT IS LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1)The prevailing wind at the time of Ihe burning shall be away from nearby residences, <br /> <br />2)The burning shall be conducted as far away as practical from any highway or public road <br />and controlled so Ihat a traffic hazard is not created. <br /> <br />3)The location of the burning shall not be within 600 feet of an occupied residence other <br />lhan those located on the property on which the burning is conducted. <br /> <br />4)The burning shall not be conducted within one mile of any airport of landing strip, unless <br />approved by the Director. <br /> <br />5)Oils, rubber, paint, plastic, shingles, tires, insulation, RR ties, or treated wood and <br />other similar smoke producing materials shall not be burned or used as starting materials. <br /> <br />6)The recipient of this permit or his authorized representative shall be present for the <br />duralion of any fire authorized by this permit. The recipienl of this permit shall provide <br />his authorized representative with a copy of this permit and be responsible for <br />implementing the terms and conditions of this permit. <br /> <br />7)Two days notice shall be given to the City of Ramsey Fire Department of the time and <br />location of any fire authorized by the permit. CITY OF RAMSEY FIRE DEPT. 427-1410; <br />ANOKA FIRE DEPT. 421-6631; ELK RIVER FIRE DEPT. 441-2582. <br /> <br />8)Any fire allowed by this permit shall be extinguished within four (4) hours of a public <br />announcement by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency that an air pollution alert, <br />warning or emergency exists. SUCH BURNING SHALL CEASE until a similar public <br />announcement terminating the alert, warning or emergency is issued. <br /> <br />9)This permit is subjecl to revocation at the discrelion of MPCA Director, a Department of <br />Nalural Resources Forest Officer, the City of Rarnsey Fire Chief or the City of Ramsey Fire <br />Warden. <br /> <br />a)A reasonable, practical alternate method of disposal of the material exists; <br />b)A fire hazard exists or develops during the course of the burning; or <br />c)Any of the conditions of the permit are violated during the course of the burning. <br /> <br />10) Other reasonable conditions the permil issuing authority may impose.
