I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CASE <br /> <br /> 1991 REQUEST FOR SUPPORT OF <br />MEDIATION SERVICES FOR ANOKA COUNTY <br />By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has received a letter requesting support for 1991 Mediation Services for Anoka County. <br />Enclosed is a copy of this letter and an invoice that documents the request in the amount of <br />$819.00. <br /> <br />For information purposes, the folllowing is the City's prior financial support of these services: <br /> <br />1987 through 1989 <br />1990 <br /> <br />$569.00/year <br />$819.00/year <br /> <br />Ann Wallerstedt, Executive Director of Mediation Services for Anoka County, has expressed an <br />interest in making a brief presentation to the Council and has been invited to attend tonight's <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Observation: <br /> <br />The City's budget for this service during 1990 has been expended with the 1990 payment made on <br />February 15, 1990. If the Council approves financial support as requested by Mediation Services <br />for Anoka County for 1991, they should submit a new invoice in January 1991 for same. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Mediation represents a valuable alternative to dispute resolution for our community.
