Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-10-279 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE MINNESOTA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CONTAMINATION <br />CLEANUP GRANT PROGREM FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey intends to act as the legal sponsor for the following <br />projects that is more completely described in the contamination clean up applications to be <br />submitted to the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development (DTED) on <br />November 1, 2003. St. Anthony Gun Club; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance, <br />and the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure adequate project <br />administrations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the sources and amounts of the local match identified in the applications are <br />committed to the identified projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has not violated any federal, state or local laws <br />pertaining to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other unlawful or <br />corrupt practice; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon approval of this application, the City of Ramsey may enter into <br />agreement with the DTED for above-referenced projects and will comply with all applicable <br />laws and regulations stated in such agreement; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to apply to the Department of <br />Trade and Economic Development for Contamination Clean Up Grant Program funding for <br />one or more of the above-referenced projects and to execute such agreements as are <br />necessary to implement the projects. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey act as the legal sponsor for the project contained in the <br />contamination cleanup grant program to be submitted on November 1st, 2003 in that the City <br />Administrator is hereby authorized to apply to the DTED for funding of this project on behalf <br />of the property owner contingent upon receipt of the local match portion required by DTED. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember. <br />Pearson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br /> <br /> <br />
