Aero Asphalt's bids for Improvement Project 90-10 was approximately 11 percent below our estimate and their bid for Improvement Project 90-12 was approximately three percent above our estimate. Both bids include the cost of seeding boulevards which was not included in our feasibility estimates. Enclosed is a proposed resolution awarding the projects to Aero Asphalt, Inc. Recommendation: Aero Asphalt is a Hamel, Minnesota contractor who has previously satisfactorily completed projects in the metropolitan area. Therefore, we recommend that the city adopt the proposed resolution awarding the projects to Aero Asphalt in the amount of $64,502.00 Council Action: Motion to: Adopt Resolution 90-08- accepting bids for Street Improvement Projects 90-10 and 90-12 and awarding a contract to Aero Asphalt, Inc. for such improvements.
