MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />David Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Mike Marquart, Community Development Intern <br /> <br />Progress report on Decentralized Brush Chipping Program <br /> <br />August 6, 1990 <br /> <br />This report summarizes the chipping job that has been completed thus far. The report <br />contains a log of the chipping progress, statistics concerning yards chipped, money used <br />and area chipped. I have also included a phone log, chipping reports and billing <br />statements. <br /> <br />This report compares the one-man crew with the two-man crew and the findings show <br />that the two man crew is now chipping over twice the amount of brush as the one-man <br />crew. The cost per yard chipped is more for the two-man crew than the one-man crew, <br />consequently Carol has been informed to run a one-man crew unless it is not feasible to <br /> <br />This report reveals that yards chipped per hour is not twice as much for the two-man <br />crew versus the one-man crew, as it should be. This is another indicator that a one-man <br />crew works more efficiently than a two-man crew. <br /> <br /> <br />
