On August 7, 1990, the Planning and Zoning Commission reconviened the public hearing regarding the request for preliminary plat approval of Chestnut Pond Addition and recommended preliminary plat approval of Chestnut Pond Addition based on the revised plat dated August 7, 1990. Planning and Zoning Commission Recommendation: The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended preliminary plat approval as per the city Engineer's report dated July 31, 1990 with the following exceptions: a) waive requirement for soil borings; b) compute park dedication on the basis of I7 lots and require dedication of Ouflot A as a drainage easement in lieu of park dedication on the 18th lot. It was also noted that the plans should be corrected to indicate B-612 curbing versus B-412. The improvements on the site are a City project and curbs will be constructed to standards. Staff Recommendations: City Staff recommends preliminary plat approval of Chestnut Pond Addition as per the City Engineer's letter dated July 31, 1990 with the exception of soil borings and requiring park dedication on the basis of 18 lots and dedication of Outlot A as a drainage easement. Council Action: Motion to: Approve/deny the request for preliminary plat approval of Chestnut Pond Addition as per the City Engineer's letter dated July 31, 1990 with the exception of soil borings and to compute park dedication on the basis of 17 lots and require dedication of Ouflot A for drainage and utility in lieu of park dedication on the 18th lot.
