Provide administrative advice to the Fire Chief and Police Chief, promote <br />communication within the Fire Department and the Police Department and <br />between the two departments and other community leaders. <br /> <br />b. Advise the City Council in the selection of the Fire Chief and Police Chief. <br /> <br />'C. <br /> <br />Review operations of the Fire Department and Police Department and <br />advise the Fire Chief and Police Chief in determining possible areas of <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Review and advise regarding rules and regulations for the Fire Department <br />and Police Department. <br /> <br /> Subd. 5. Horse Care Board. The primary objective of the Horse Care <br />Board is to advise the City Council, other Ramsey advisory commissions and boards, and <br />Ramsey City Staff r.egarding matters relevant to the maintenance of'horses on properties within <br />the City of Ramsey. The Horse Care Board is to assist in resolving complaints fi.om those <br />persons aggrieved by horses, to investigate complaints, to advise horse owners against whom <br />complaints have been lodged and to recommend to the City Council appropriate action. <br /> <br /> Subd. 6. Board of Adjustment and Appeals~ The primary objective of the <br />Board of Adjustments and Appeals to review and approve/deny variances from the provisions of <br />the Zoning Chapter of the City Code where there is strict enforcement would cause undue <br />hardship because of circumstances unique to the individual property under consideration. The <br />Planning and Zoning Commission shall serve as the Board of Adjustment and Appeals. <br /> <br />2.03.07 <br /> <br />Rules and Procedures <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Adoption of Rules and Procedures. The Board or <br />Commission shall adopt such rules and procedures not inconsistent with these provisions as may <br />be necessary for the proper execution and conduct of business. <br /> <br /> <br />
