SECTION 01730 <br />OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE DATA <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Work included: To aid the continued instruction of operating and maintenance <br />personnel, and to provide positive source of information regarding the products <br />incorporated into the Work, furnish and deliver the data described in this Section <br />and in pertinent other Sections of these Specifications. <br />B. Related work: <br />1. Documents affecting work of this Section include, but are not necessarily <br />limited to, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Sections in <br />Division 1 of these Specifications. <br />2. Required contents of submittals also may be amplified in pertinent other <br />Sections of these Specifications. <br />1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />In preparing data required by this Section, use only personnel who are thoroughly <br />trained and experienced in operation and maintenance of the described items, <br />completely familiar with the requirements of this Section, and skilled in technical <br />writing to the extent needed for communicating the essential data. <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Comply with pertinent provisions of Section 01340. <br />B. Submit two copies of a preliminary draft of the proposed Manual or Manuals to <br />the Architect for review and comments. <br />C. Unless otherwise directed in other Sections, or in writing by the Architect, submit <br />three copies of the final Manual to the Architect prior to indoctrination of <br />operation and maintenance personnel. <br />01730-1 <br />
