1. Install the specified corner bead, fitting neatly over the comer and <br />securing with the same type fasteners used for installing the wallboard. <br />2. Space the fasteners approximately 6" on centers, and drive through the <br />wallboard into the framing or furring member. <br />3. After the corner bead has been secured into position, treat the corner with <br />joint compound and reinforcing tape as specified for joints, feathering the <br />joint compound out from 8" to 10" on each side of the corner. <br />3.5 OTHER METAL TRIM <br />A. General: <br />1. The Drawings do not purport to show all locations and requirements for <br />metal trim. <br />2. Carefully study the Drawings and the installation, and provide all metal <br />trim normally recommended by the manufacturer of the gypsum <br />wallboard approved for use in this Work. <br />3.6 CLEANING UP <br />A. In addition to other requirements for cleaning, use necessary care to prevent <br />scattering gypsum wallboard scraps and dust, and to prevent tracking gypsum <br />and joint finishing compound onto floor surfaces. <br />B. At completion of each segment of installation in a room or space, promptly pick <br />up and remove from the working area all scrap, debris, and surplus material of <br />this Section. <br />09260-5 <br />
