CASE #3

INTRODUCE AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE
ADULT ENTERTAINMENT SITING MORATORIUM ORDINANCE
By: William K. Goodrich, City Attorney

Background:

As you know, the City has adopted an ordinance and revised an ordinance which placed a 180
moratorium period on the siting of adult entertainment uses in various locations in the City. This
moratorium was placed, pending study, by the City's Planner on this subject. While the Planner
has made substantial progress, City Staff is of the opinion that an added 60 day period will be
necessary in order to get the ordinance amendments into proper form, conduct a public hearing and
finally adopt the ordinance. Enclosed is a copy of a proposed ordinance which if adopted will
extend the moratorium period by 60 days.

Council Action:

Motion to introduce Ordinance 890-
siting moratorium ordinance.

which is an ordinance extending the adult entertainment

Review Checklist:

City Administrator
City Attorney
City Engineer
Community Development Director
Public Works Supervisor

X
X

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Planning & Zoning Commission
Park & Recreation Commission
