<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 13-11-201 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO ALLIED BLACKTOP COMPANY <br />FOR PROJECT #13-00 – 2013 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM; DIVISION A <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted June 25, 2013, <br />accepting plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for making the 2013 <br />Street Maintenance Program improvements including the sealcoating of streets, the removal and <br />replacement of miscellaneous concrete curb and gutter, the paving of wear course lifts, and other <br />necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened, and tabulated, and the following bids <br />were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the bids of Allied Blacktop Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the <br />amount of $338,072.73 for the total bid for Division A is the lowest responsible bidders. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> as of November 26, 2013, $326,182.10 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to Allied Blacktop Company in the amount of $18,625.60. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Allied Blacktop Company for <br />Improvement Project #13-00; 2013 Street Maintenance Program in the amount of <br />$18,625.60. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of November 26, 2013. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> <br />
