CASE <br /> <br /> ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE <br /> AMENDING THE NUMBER OF THE CITY CODE <br /> OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY AND <br />ADDING A CHAPTER ENTITLED GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />By: David R. Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As the City Council is aware, work has been on-going in an effort to recodify the City Code of the <br />City of Ramsey. The work on that recodification is nearing completion and the City Council will <br />begin to see many of the products resulting from that effort. <br /> <br />One of the steps in the procedure of recodification is the renumbering of the City Code to provide a <br />structure and sequence for the presentation of the laws in the form of ordinances that make sense, <br />is understandable, and readily accessible to residents, commission members, and the City Council. <br /> <br />At the City Council's last regular meeting, this ordinance was introduced and may be adopted at <br />your meeting of October 23, 1990. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt an ordinance amending the numbering of the City Code in the City of Ramsey and <br />adding a chapter entitled "General Provisions". <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Adminis~'ator <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />CC: 10/23/90 <br /> <br /> <br />
