Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #13 -12 -213 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING ANOKA COUNTY TO WITHHOLD CERTAIN TAX <br />FORFEIT LANDS FROM PUBLIC SALE AND AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF TAX <br />FORFEIT PROPETIES FOR PUBLIC PURPOSE <br />WHEREAS, OUTLOT B ALPACA ESTATES 4 ADDITION, City of Ramsey, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota, PIN #29- 32 -25 -13 -0008, has forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non- <br />payment of taxes (The "Subject Property A "); and <br />WHEREAS, OUTLOT A CHESTNUT HILL 5 ADDITION EX PRT PLATTED AS <br />SUNFISH LAKE ESTATES, SUBJ TO EASE OF REC, City of Ramsey, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota, PIN #26- 32 -25 -23 -0030, has forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non - payment of <br />taxes (The "Subject Property B "); and <br />WHEREAS, OUTLOT J FLINTWOOD HILLS 2 ADDN SUBJ TO EASE OF REC, <br />City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota, PIN #25- 32 -25 -34 -0059, has forfeited to the State of <br />Minnesota for non - payment of taxes (The "Subject Property C "); and <br />WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of the City to acquire the Subject Property <br />A for future roadway purposes; the Subject Property B due to a City trail encumbrance, and the <br />Subject Property C for stormwater runoff. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESTOA, as follows: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to complete the application <br />for a state use deed and any other necessary paperwork to secure ownership of the Subject <br />Property A for future roadway purpose, Subject Property B for trail encumbrance, and <br />Subject Property C for stormwatrer runoff. <br />2) That the Council hereby authorizes the costs the City would incur by acquiring the tax <br />forfeit properties to be taken from the Public Improvement Revolving Fund for the <br />acquisition of Subject Properties A and B, and from the Stormwater Utility Fund for the <br />acquisition of Subject Property C. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Johnson <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Resolution #13 -12 -213 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
