I i I I I I I I I I CHARTER COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS BY: Kay McAIoney, Personnel Coordinator CASE Background: Of the members of the Charter Commission, five have terms that expired on May 11, 1989. The remaining four have terms expiring on May 11, 1991. The Charter Commission members with their expiration dates are as follows: EXPIRATION DATE 5-11-89 Thomas Gamec Barbara Graen Thomas Greenberg Bernard Steffen Curtiss Tittered EXPIRATION DATE 5-11-91 Richard Sieber (Chair) Stanley Data VACANCY John Lichter At the September 10, 1990 regular City Council meeting there was discussion that the vacancies should be advertised to see if there was interest by other members of the community to serve on the Charter Commission. An advertisement was placed in the Ramsey Resident that was distributed late September. Applications were to be submitted by October 15, 1990 if interested. There have been no applications received. A letter addressed to each of the Commission members with expired dates asking if they would be interested in serving another term has been drafted and attached for your reviewal and approval. Please note that there is also a vacancy on the Charter Commission with an expiration date of 5-11- 91. As no applications were received from the advertisement in the Ramsey Resident, one should be placed in the Anoka Union. Council Action: Approval to send attached letter to current Charter Commission members with expired term dates.
