Concilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 90-12- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS FOR A COOPERATIVE OPPORTUNITIES <br />FOR RESOURCE ENHANCEMENT (C.O.R.E.) PROGRAM FISHING PIER IN RIVER'S <br />BEND PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has supported <br />the development of recreation facilities at River's Bend Park, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, facility improvements at the park were undertaken to <br />provide parking and trail access to a fishing pier, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to enhance outdoor recreation <br />activities within the park for disabled and physically limited <br />individuals, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Natural Resources notified <br />the city on August 7, 1990 that a fishing pier was approved for the <br />park, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council adopted Resolution 90-02-58 authorizing <br />up to $2,000.00 as a community cost share for the pier and that no <br />local cost will be required. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That Merland Otto of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. shall <br />coordinate with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for <br />a CORE grant for the installation of the fishing pier. <br /> <br />2) That the Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to enter <br />into necessary agreements with DNR for the installation, routine <br />maintenance, insurance and operation of the pier. <br /> <br />3) That the City will provide assistance in installing the pier, <br />install a sign provided by DNR, and provide a concrete footing for <br />the pier. <br /> <br />4) That the $2,000.00 allocated for this project by Resolution <br />90-02-58 be unencumbered and remain in the park improvement <br />revolving fund #425. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councitmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the !!th day of December, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
