The identified supporting documents are incorporated herein <br />by reference. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has revised his operation plan and stated <br />that "materials accepted would be aluminum, brass, copper and <br />other non-ferrous metals. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />That a WMMI recycling center is located approximately three <br />fourths of a mile north of this site which provides recycling <br />drop off for miscellaneous metals, aluminum, glass and <br />newspaper. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />That a conditional use permit has been issued in the City of <br />Ramsey at 14050 Basalt Street N.W. for an aluminum processing <br />facility. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />That the proposed use (redemption center for scrap metals) is <br />a solid waste management facility under City Ordinance 90-5. <br />Further, that the proposed use conflicts with Section 6e, <br />Prohibited Areas for Solid Waste Management Facilities, in <br />three respects, vii - within 5000' of an airport runway, viii <br />- within 1000' of an occupied dwelling, ix - within an area <br />of known ground water contamination. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />That the current business has operated for eleven years on <br />undeveloped land in the city of Anoka. <br /> <br />14a. That the planning consultant, Merland Otto, in his opinion, <br /> has indicated that the City of Anoka has requested the <br /> Applicant to vacate their current premises based on discussion <br /> with Anoka staff. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />That the Applicant indicates that the property is well suited <br />to his needs due to its close proximity to the landfill and <br />large supply of methane gas. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />That the Applicant states that the production level is <br />estimated to be an average of 10,000 lbs. of aluminum per day. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has identified operating equipment as two <br />melt furnaces, conveyors, small skid-type loader, forklifts, <br />backhoe tractor Series 300 crane with magnet, and an aluminum <br />can processing machine. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has designated an Area A and Area B on the <br />site plan submitted October 16, 1990. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has indicated that purchasing of aluminum <br />cans and metals, receiving and weighing materials and customer <br />parking would occur in Area A. <br /> <br /> <br />
