I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I ORDINANCE ~t91-X CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING MINNESOTA 10.208 "PROPERTY IDENTIFICATION RESIDENTIAL, PRIVATE AND PUBLIC". STATE FIRE NUMBERS, CODE SECTION COMMERCIAL, The City of Ramsey ordains: Section 1. UFC Numbers Required The owner of every residential, commercial or industrial structure, whether public or private, shall place house or building numbers, as herein provided, on the structure. This shall not apply to barns, private garages or other similar accessory buildings or structures used in connection with buildings or permanent structures displaying building numbers. Location, Size and Shape: Each number of the street address of a structure shall be attached to the structure and shall be located in a position near the front door of each structure so as to be clearly visible from the street or road and not obstructed by any vegetation or other structures. If the structure is more than 100 feet from the street or road, a separate post with numbers attached shall be placed within 30 feet of the street or road identifying the number of the structure on the property. If the structure abuts an alley, building numbers shall be attached in a conspicuous location to the alley side of the structure. If a garage or similar accessory building obstructs the view of the main structure from the alley, the building numbers for the structure shall be placed in a conspicuous location on the garage or accessory building. Each number of the address shall be three (3) inches or greater in height and shall be of a color that contrasts with the color of the background to which it is attached. The numbers shall be in Arabic form. Section 2. Effective Date The effective date of this Ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to City Charter Section ,5..04, PASSED by the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota, this the 12th day of February, 1991.
