Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-02- RESOLUTION APPROVING PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL FOR INSPECTOR STEVE LUTMER WHEREAS, Steve Lutmer began employment at the City of Ramsey on October 19, 1987 on a pm-time basis; and WHEREAS, on May 30, 1989 the City Council approved Mr. Lutmer's change in status to full-time regular in the position of Community Development Inspector in salary grade 2; and WHEREAS, Mr. Lutmer has a current annual salary of $19,767 per the terms of the AFSCME bargaining unit, of which he is a member; and WHEREAS, performance appraisals were performed on December 27, 1990 by City Engineer Steve Jankowski, Building Official Glyn Huff and City Assessor John Keefe; and WHEREAS, there was a considerable degree of variation among the three evaluations of Mr. Lutmer, but overall performance was rated satisfactory; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee at their meeting of February 5, 1991 has reviewed the performance appraisal and recommendations for Mr. Lutmer and is in agreement; however, the Personnel Committee stated that they would like a performance evaluation performed by City Engineer Steve Jankowski at three month intervals until the next annual review; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee confirmed their prior recommendation for Mr. Lutmer to increase his annual salary to $20,755 effective December 1, 1990 and further recommended that a performance evaluation be performed by City Engineer Steve Jankowski at three month intervals until the next annual review. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendations of Personnel Committee for Mr. Lutmer to increasing Mr. Lutmer's annual salary to $20,755 effective December 1, 1990, noting the request of the Personnel Committee to have City Engineer Steve Jankowski perform appraisals in 3 months intervals until the next annual review. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12th day of February, 1991.
