I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-02- RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATION PERIOD FOR PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER JAMES LACEY WHEREAS, James Lacey began employment at the City of Ramsey on May 23, 1990, as Public Works Maintenance Worker in salary grade 2, with an annual salary of $17,790; and WHEREAS, as stated in the AFSCME contract, of which Mr. Lacey is a member, the probationary period for new employees is six-months (upon completion of 1,040 hours), and the six-month probationary period for James Lacey expired on November 23, 1990; and WHEREAS, Mark Boos, Utility/Parks Coordinator and Mr. Lacey's immediate supervisor, has given a satisfactory employee performance appraisal for Mr. Lacey and recommended retaining Mr. Lacey at the City of Ramsey as a regular full-time employee; and WHEREAS, the probationary period has been successfully completed and, as Mr. Lacey was hired at the six-month rate of salary grade 2, there was no salary increase per the AFSCME contract; and WHEREAS, Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen, City Engineer Steven Jankowski and Acting City Administrator Sandra Ashley agreed with the recommendation of Mark Boos; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee at their February 5, I991 meeting agreed with the recommendation of staff to retain Mr. Lacey as a regular full-time employee effective November 23, 1990. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confu'ms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to end the probationary period for James Lacey and change in status to full-time regular employee effective November 23, 1990. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12th day of February, 1991.
