12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />21. <br /> <br />22. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has identified operating equipment as two melt furnaces, a <br />small articulating loader, forklift, tractor loader and a crane with magnet. <br /> <br />That the feedstock for aluminum processing stated by the Applicant would <br />consist of aluminum pickings from landfills, aluminum parts from automobile <br />engines and transmissions, scrap dealers and private citizens. <br /> <br />That the operational plan indicates that most feedstock would be ready for <br />melting as received and would go directly to a melt furnace, aluminum is <br />separated from other metals, cast into ingots and then moved to outside <br />storage for cooling. <br /> <br />That the application does not state that the Applicant will provide redemption <br />services, offer services for collection or otherwise encourage the receipt of <br />metals or other scrap materials but that the Applicant has stated to staff <br />(3/15/91 meeting) that he will not offer collection/redemption services or <br />receive scrap metals other than aluminum from the general public. <br /> <br />That the business has an EPA identification number for Hazardous Waste <br />Activity at his existing site consisting of using off spec used oil for burner fuel. <br /> <br />That the Applicant states that the main melt furnace would be fueled by <br />processed used oil. Afterburner fuel will be fuel oil, natural gas or propane. <br /> <br />That both furnaces will be equipped with afterburners and that the height of <br />smokestacks would be 24' above ground for the primary furnace and 28' above <br />ground for the second furnace. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that dross from the aluminum processing <br />operation will be separated after cooling and stored in a trailer until a quantity <br />sufficient for shipment has accumulated. <br /> <br />The Applicant states that he will construct a 41'x40' building which will house <br />the office, material receiving area and transmission/engine disassembly area. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that storage and metal cutting for feedstock <br />preparation is proposed to be conducted within a fenced area to the rear of the <br />building. <br /> <br />A separate steel structure 40'x48' will house the furnace and will have roll <br />open doors for cooling and access. <br /> <br /> <br />
