I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #90- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 210.01 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE <br />PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 210.01 OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey Ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 210. O112A Streets (Ramsey's Financing Policy) Paragraph 1. b. shall be <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />1. b. Residential Street <br /> <br />Assess the total cost of initial construction on a unit method or <br />front foot basis. <br /> <br />Assess 50% of the cost for reconstruction or overlays on existing <br />bituminous streets with the remaining 50% being assessed to the <br />City, except when a previously proposed sealcoating project has <br />been defeated by petition. In such cases, benefitted property <br />owners shall be assessed 100% of the project cost. <br /> <br />If the benefitted property owners petition to defeat the project then <br />the affected residents will be assessed 100% of the cost when the <br />improvement is completed. <br /> <br />On MSA streets which provide access to residential lots, a assess <br />those lots 50% of the cost for the reconstruction/overlays for a <br />typical residential street with the remaining cost being paid by <br />MSA funds. <br /> <br />Section 210.01112A Streets (Ramsey's Financing Policy) Paragraph 3 shall be <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />3. Seal Coating <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />Assess total cost on a front foot or unit basis for the initial <br />sealcoating on City sn:eets. <br /> <br />Assess 50% of the cost for second and subsequent <br />sealcoating applications on City streets and the remaining <br />50% being assessed to the City. <br /> <br />c.
