I I I I i I I i I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION 891-02- RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF RAMSEY AND ANOKA COUNTY FOR FUNDING OF 1991 LANDFILL ABATEMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE CITY OF RAMSEY WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Legislature enacted the Select Committee on Recycling and the Environment (SCORE) legislation which provides for collection of the sales tax on solid waste disposal; and and WHEREAS, counties are responsible for the distribution of said funds to municipalities; WHEREAS, a joint powers agreement between Anoka County and the City of Ramsey is required prior to distribution of funds for municipal landfill Abatement Programs from the SCORE tax money. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby approves the joint powers agreement between the City of Ramsey and Anoka County regarding full participation by the City of Ramsey in establishing landfill abatement programs pursuant to SCORE legislation and funding from Anoka County regarding the same. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and Acting City Administrator to sign the joint powers agreement and any other necessary documents required on behalf of the City. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following were absent: and the following abstained: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of March, 1991.
