Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g91-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR PATROL <br />OFFICER SHELDON ERDMAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sheldon Erdman began employment at the City of Ramsey on May 20, <br />1990, as Patrol Officer in the Police Department with an annual salary of $32,779; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as stated in the LELS bargaining unit contract, of which Mr. Erdman is a <br />member, the probationary period for new employees is one-year and the probationary period for <br />Mr. Erdman expired on May 20, 1991; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Michael Auspos, Police Chief and Mr. Erdman's immediate supervisor, has <br />given a satisfactory employee performance appraisal for Mr. Erdman and recommended retaining <br />Mr. Erdman at the City of Ramsey as a regular full-time employee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the probationary period has been successfully completed and per the terms <br />of the LELS contract, Mr. Erdman's salary should increase to Top Patrol, $36,568 annually <br />effective May 20, 1991; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at their May 28, 1991, meeting agreed with the <br />recommendation of staff to retain Mr. Erdman as a regular full-time employee and increase Mr. <br />Erdman's annual salary to $36,568 effective May 20, 1991. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee to end the probationary period for Patrol Officer Sheldon Erdman, to change his <br />status to a full-time regular employee and to increase Mr. Erdman's annual salary to <br />$36,568 effective May 20, 1991. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 1 lth day of June, 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
