AND WHEREAS, it is recommended by Staff that the following bids be awarded: <br /> <br />1. Lawn Mower - James Gromberg; $50.01 <br />2. Snowblower - Merle Mevissen; $75 <br />3. Typewriter - Kathy Johnson; $10 <br />6. Tar Kettle - Stepp Manufacturing; $750 <br />7. Garage Door Openers - Greg Talbot; $20 <br />9. Sickle Mower - Leonard Duerr, $30 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey reserves the right to reject any or all bids; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen and City Engineer Steve <br />Jankowski recommend that the bids for the pump (item 4) be rejected, as the pump is valued at <br />$6,000 and they feel that the City should recover 50% of the value of the pump; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Superintendent Merle Mevissen and City Engineer Steve <br />Jankowski recommend that the bids for the irrigation pipe (item 5) be rejected, as the pipe is valued <br />at $10,000 and they feel that the City should recover 50% of the value of the pipe. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, no bids were received for the fertilizer spreader (item 8). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby awards bids for surplus items 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9 as <br />noted above and directs the Public Works Supervisor and Administrative Coordinator to <br />notify successful bidders. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby rejects bids for surplus items 4 and 5 as noted above <br />and will retain these items as well as item 8 for which there were no bids received. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the llth day of June, 1991. <br /> <br />35' <br /> <br /> <br />
