AND WHEREAS, it is recommended by Staff that the following bids be awarded: 1. Lawn Mower - James Gromberg; $50.01 2. Snowblower - Merle Mevissen; $75 3. Typewriter - Kathy Johnson; $10 6. Tar Kettle - Stepp Manufacturing; $750 7. Garage Door Openers - Greg Talbot; $20 9. Sickle Mower - Leonard Duerr, $30 AND WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey reserves the right to reject any or all bids; and WHEREAS, Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen and City Engineer Steve Jankowski recommend that the bids for the pump (item 4) be rejected, as the pump is valued at $6,000 and they feel that the City should recover 50% of the value of the pump; and WHEREAS, Public Works Superintendent Merle Mevissen and City Engineer Steve Jankowski recommend that the bids for the irrigation pipe (item 5) be rejected, as the pipe is valued at $10,000 and they feel that the City should recover 50% of the value of the pipe. WHEREAS, no bids were received for the fertilizer spreader (item 8). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby awards bids for surplus items 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9 as noted above and directs the Public Works Supervisor and Administrative Coordinator to notify successful bidders. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby rejects bids for surplus items 4 and 5 as noted above and will retain these items as well as item 8 for which there were no bids received. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the llth day of June, 1991. 35'
