Section 9.02 defines "Vehicle Repair Minor" as minor repairs, incidental body and fender work, painting and upholstering, replacement of parts and motor services to passenger automobiles and trucks not exceeding 9,000 pounds gross weight, and vehicle steam cleaning, but not including any operation specified under "Vehicle Repair Major". (Ramsey Auto Sales is zoned B-3 Highway Business District and "vehicle repair minor is permitted with a conditional use permit in this zone). Section 9.11.02 states that the storage of two or more automobiles that do not have current license plates constitutes an auto salvage business and shall not be permitted as an accessory use of property. (Auto salvage is not permitted as a principal use of property in any zoning district in Ramsey). Section 9.03.10 of the City Code states that whenever in any zoning district a use is neither specifically permitted or denied, the use shall be considered prohibited unless a conditional use permit is applied for and granted. Recommendation: On May 7, 1991, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the City Council take the necessary steps to consider revoking the conditional use permit issued to 7205 Hwy. #10 N.W. for motor vehicle sales. According to City Code, City Council would have to schedule a public heating to consider revocation of a conditional use permit. Council Action: Will be based on your discussion.
