I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g91-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING BEVERLY SWANSON AS CITY OF RAMSEY <br />VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Volunteer of the Year Committee has nominated Beverly Swanson as <br />the City of Ramsey Volunteer of the Year, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Swanson has been active in the Ramsey Youth Athletic Association for <br />the past three years, as President-elect the first year and as President for the past two years. <br />During that time she has concentrated on sports activities for children. Ms. Swanson initiated the <br />petition that expedited development of the new soccer and two new softball fields at Central Park. <br />Ms. Swanson is also involved in activities at the Ramsey Elementary School and is a member of <br />the Lord of Life Lutheran Church. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey hereby recognizes Beverly Swanson as the City of Ramsey <br />Volunteer of the Year. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councitmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 25th day of June, 1991. <br /> <br /> <br />
