I I I I ORDINANCE #91-XX CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 7 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE LICENSING AND PERMITS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, SECTION 7.61 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. The City of Ramsey Ordains: SECTION 1. AUTHORITY This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Ramsey. SECTION 2. AMENDMENT A. 7.61 Charitable Gambling The following section should be added to Section 7.61 7.61.08 Use of Charitable Gambling Profits. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 3.49.213, the yearly net profits of any licensed charitable gambling organization shall be spent in the trade area of the City of Ramsey or on items or activities that will directly benefit the citizens of the City of Ramsey. For purposes of this paragraph, the term trade area shall mean all of that area described as the Cities of Ramsey, Elk River, Dayton, Anoka, Andover and the Township of Bums. B. 7.62 Bingo The following paragraph should be amended to read: 7.62.13 Use of Bingo Profits. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 3.49.213, the yearly net profits of any licensed charitable gambling organization shall be spent in the trade area of the City of Ramsey or on items or activities that will directly benefit the citizens of the City of Ramsey. For purposes of this paragraph, the term trade area shall mean all of that area described as the Cities of Ramsey, Elk River, Dayton, Anoka, Andover and the Township of Burns. Further, purposes for which net profits from any bingo occasion shall be expended are only for one or more of the following purposes: SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance becomes effective thirty (30) days after its publication subject to the City Charter Section 5.07.
