I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br /> <br /> CASE # <br /> <br /> 1991 BUSINESS EXPO <br /> By: Carolyn Nelson, Chairperson, '91 Business EXPO Committee <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The 1991 Business EXPO has been scheduled for September 29, 1991 at the Ramsey Elementary <br />School. <br /> <br />In years past, the Economic Development Company has sponsored a Business EXPO in Ramsey <br />which is intended to recognize the businesses and service providers in our City by giving our <br />residents an opportunity to see and talk with the various proprietors. <br /> <br />Also in years past, the City of Ramsey has contributed to this economic development effort. This <br />year the Economic Development Company is requesting Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) for <br />help in paying for the advertising and promotion of the 1991 Business EXPO. <br /> <br />The 1991 Business EXPO is expecting 60 booths this year compared to the 53 that were part of the <br />1990 Business EXPO. Rental for booths will be the same as last year at $75.00 per booth. This <br />year's EXPO will include food and entertainment. <br /> <br />The funds received will be channeled through the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce. Purchases <br />will be submitted to and approved by both Carolyn Nelson and James Gromberg. <br /> <br />The City may also want to consider the use of a booth to promote the City to both businesses and <br />residents. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Morion to adopt Resolution #91-07-__ appropriating Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) for the <br />1991 Business EXPO. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br />Project Manager <br /> <br />CC: 07/23/91 <br /> <br /> <br />
