reviewed Ramsey citizens who have served and expressed interest and stated the current citizens <br />are interested in continuing. <br />Mayor Strommen asked about the value of having a Council liaison on the Environmental Policy <br />Board (EPB). <br />Councilmember LeTourneau stated he asked that question at the EPB meeting last night and the <br />Boardmembers indicated they felt it did add value. He stated he is interested in continuing as <br />liaison to the EPB. <br />Mayor Strommen asked for input on the official newspaper and whether anyone did not support <br />the proposal from the Anoka County Union. <br />The Council unanimously supported staff's recommendation to continue with the Anoka County <br />Union. <br />Mayor Strommen asked for input on the legal services contracts. <br />The Council unanimously supported staff's recommendation to continue with Joseph Langel of <br />Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney as general legal and Joe VanThorne of Randall, Goodrich & Haag <br />for prosecution. <br />Mayor Strommen asked if there was support to approve the Addendum to the Recording <br />Secretarial Services Agreement. <br />The Council unanimously supported staff's recommendation to approve the Addendum to the <br />Recording Secretarial Services Agreement. <br />City Clerk Thieling asked for clarification on the appointment to Youth First. <br />Councilmember Tossey suggested asking Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent <br />Riverblood whether he is interested in continuing to serve on Youth First. He noted if Parks and <br />Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood is not interested, Wayne Skaff may be <br />interested. <br />The consensus of the Council was to retain the Public Works Committee, eliminate the Personnel <br />Committee and Finance Committee, declare the Anoka County Union as the City's official <br />newspaper, approve the Addendum to the Recording Secretarial Service Agreement, and appoint <br />Joseph Langel of Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney as general legal and Joe VanThorne of Randall, <br />Goodrich & Haag for prosecution. <br />2.02: Discuss Modifying the Authority of City Administrator <br />City Clerk Thieling presented the staff report and explained the purpose of this discussion is <br />whether to add authority to the City Administrator, which will in turn streamline Human <br />City Council Work Session / January 7, 2014 <br />Page 4 of 13 <br />
