! <br /> <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g91-08- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CAPITAL ASSISTANCE GRANT AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND THE CITY OF RAMSEY (PURCHASE <br />OF BRUSH CHIPPING EQUIPMENT WITH CAPITAL ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM <br />FUNDS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 21, 1991, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #91-05-123 which <br />designated $7,995.00 of the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund Balance for the 50% match funding source required as a <br />part of the Metropolitan Landfill Abatement Grant application for a brush chipper; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 8, 1991, the Metropolitan Council approved the grant application subject to a <br />change from the original application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, lhis change requires the City of Ramsey increase the local cash match from $7,995.00 to <br />the sum of $10,343.00 or 65% of the equipment purchase price. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby accepts funding in the mount of $5,647.00 from the Melmpolitan Landfill <br />Abatement Fund - Capital Assistance Program for purchase of a brush chipper. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby designates the sum of $10,343.00 of the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund Balance <br />as the City's portion of the brush chipper purchase price. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby directs staff activities as specified in the grant application that will result in <br />General Fund expenditures that total $9,763.32 during the three year period of the grant. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator to sign the grant agreement between the <br />Metropolitan Council and the City of Ramsey on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Councilmember <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and upon vote <br /> <br />the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council on this the 13th <br />day of August, 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
