I CASE HISTORICAL COMMITTEE UPDATE By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik Background: As you may recall, earlier this year in discussions of possible uses for Community Development Block Grant funds, City Council suggested the possibility of relocating and renovating the old Ramsey Town Hall. At that time, we found out that the old town hall is the last remaining one room schoolhouse in Anoka County. We also determined that there was not sufficient time to put together such a complex project within the current years CDBG program time frames. However, interest had peaked and at the urging of Councilmember Glen Hardin, I advertised for a volunteer citizen committee to pursue working with the Anoka County Historical Society to research the history and status of the structure and possible relocation and renovation.
