CASE <br /> <br />CREATION OF AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> By: Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Enclosed for your review is the Council case from October 8, 1991 in which we originally <br />proposed the creation of an Economic Development Authority (EDA). Prior to this agenda <br />preparation, the Council had requested that byqaws be sent out reflecting what other cities are <br />doing. We therefore sent out by-laws from Brooklyn Center and Dayton for your review. Also <br />enclosed within this case are the by-laws from Dayton which have been altered so that Ramsey <br />could utilize them if the Council so chooses. Again, Staff is requesting that the Council schedule a <br />public hearing in order to consider passage of the enclosed resolution which creates the Economic <br />Development Authority.
