Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Enclosed for your review is the agenda case from November 12, 1991 wherein the latest revision <br />of the Charitable Gambling Ordinance was given its f'rrst reading. Also enclosed is the latest draft <br />of this ordinance as revised by City Attorney Goodrich. You may note that this ordinance, as <br />presented tonight, is formatted somewhat different from that of the November 12, 1991 meeting. <br />ttowever, the content has not changed and therefore it would be my opinion that the second <br />reading of this ordinance authorizing adoption can occur. <br /> <br />I would like to also point out that it is Staff's intent to bring yet an additional revision of this <br />ordinance to Council's attention early next year which is the number of bingo occasions that can <br />occur at any given gambling establishment. However, given that this existing ordinance proposal <br />has been amended several times and given that we would like to effect completion of the ordinance <br />prior to the first of the year, we would hope for no further amendment of that proposed herein <br />prior to passage. A copy of this agenda case will be forwarded to the gambling managers for the <br />three concerns licensed in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Ordinance g91-XX amending Section 7.61 entitled "Charitable Gambling" and <br />Section 7.62 entitled "Bingo" of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />Police Chief <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />CC: 12/17/91 <br /> <br /> <br />
