CASE # 2 <br /> <br />REQUEST <br /> <br />FOR A VARIANCE FROM STREET FRONTAGE REQUIREMENTS; <br /> CASE OF TIM AND BRENDA SMITH <br /> By: James Gromberg, Project Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Tim and Brenda Smith have submitted an application to the City of Ramsey for a variance from Chapter <br />9.02 of the Ramsey City Code. This Chapter of the City Code requires lots in the urban area to have at <br />least 200 feet of street frontage unless the lot is located on a cul-de-sac in which case 80 feet is required. <br />The City has received the appropriate application materials from the Smiths. The granting of the <br />variance would create a buildable lot located at PIN R10-32-25-11-0001. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br />e) <br />0 <br />g) <br /> <br />Site Location Map <br />Application <br />Public Hearing Notice <br />Properties Notified List <br />Certificate of Survey <br />Proposed Findings of Facts <br />Proposed Variance <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On May 2, 1991, Tim and Brenda Smith submitted, to the City of Ramsey, an application for a variance <br />from the requirement of 200 feet of street frontage. <br /> <br />The City may want to require that any home built on this lot be constructed in a manner to allow the <br />possible future extension of 171st Lane N.W. to Nowthen Blvd. N.W. <br /> <br />This would require that the house be constructed at least 421 feet from the southern boundary of the lot. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval of the variance from street frontage requirements with the above listed <br />guidelines. <br /> <br />Board Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> Adopt Findings of Fact <br /> the street frontage requirement. <br /> <br />relating to Tim and Brenda Smith's request for a variance from <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> Approve/Deny <br /> requirement. <br /> <br />Tim and Brenda <br /> <br />Smith's request for a variance from the street frontage <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator <br />Project Manager <br />City Engineer <br />Bd of Adj: 5/23/91 <br /> <br /> <br />
