CITY OF RAMSEY <br />POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND <br /> FOR PARK FACILITIES <br /> <br />FEES <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has provided man), park facilities for all City residents to enjoy, the use of <br />these facilities is administered as fairly and equitably as possible. <br /> <br />The City encourages all City residents, civic groups, organizations, businesses, industry, <br />churches, and schools (public or private) to make application for permits at the Parks Department. <br />Permits will be granted based on availability and facility condition. It is the City's policy that the <br />long range care and maintenance of all park facilities takes precedence over any single event. Also, <br />the City is committed to provide clean, safe and fun parks for ever)., resident to enjoy. <br /> <br />Permits will be granted, denied, or revoked at the discretion of the Park Department. <br /> <br />The following policies, procedures and fees have been developed to assist those who reserve <br />and/or use the City's park facilities as follows: <br /> <br />TlffE PERMIT APPLICANT CLASSIFICATION: <br />A. Resident (one of the following) <br /> 1. Valid I.D., such as a drivers license, will be sufficient or other proof of <br /> residency for 30 days or more. <br /> <br />A civic group, organization, business, industry, church, or school with its <br />physical facilities located WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. <br /> <br />A representative of a youth organization, community school, or church, <br />wherein at least 50 percent of the participants are Ramsey residems, or <br />which has provSded significant benefit and service to and for the City. <br /> <br />Non-Resident <br />1. Any person, civic group, organization, business, industry, church, or <br /> school not residing or having physical facilities location within the City <br /> limits of Ramsey. <br /> <br />In cases where it is not clear whether a group or organization merits a residential <br />status, the parks coordinator or City Administrator shall make the initial <br />determSnation. Proof of non-profit status and/or additional information may be <br />requested to assist in this determination. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />YOUTH ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION: <br />A. Free use of baseball, softball, football, soccer, and hockey facilities will be ~ven to <br /> Youth Athletic Associations dealing w/th Ramsey youth. Lighting will be provided <br /> only after these groups have made maximum use of daylight hours. <br /> <br />Facilities will be provided to Youth Athletic Associations based on the percentage of <br />Ramsey children participating in the pro,am. At the conclusion of each sport <br />season, each association shall compile and provide to the Park Department a <br />detailed analysis of the number of teams, games played, practices held and youth <br />involved in their association so that determination can be made as to the percentage <br />of facilities to be allocated the following year.
