CASE # 5

CAPITAL EQUIPMENT
By: Merle Mevissen, Public Works Supervisor

Background:

There are several items of capital equipment that were budgeted for in 1991, but have not yet been
purchased. I have been holding off on purchasing these items to see how the money situation
looks towards the end of the year.

The first item is the pick-up truck which has been put on hold for this year and is budgeted for next
year.

The second item is a hydraulic truck conveyor which will be used to do shoulder work along our
//Tstreets. There is a lot of this work that needs to be done and now is a good time to do it.

he third item is a banery'-charger which will be badly needed this winter due tC~ parking trucks ahd
equipment outside. ~z~.
/The fourth item is the safety storage cabinet which is needed to store gasoline cans for various

All items will be at the budgeted amount or less so my recommendation is to purchase these items
if the money is available.

Committee Aclion:

Based on discussion.

Review Checklist:

Public Works Supervisor
City Engineer
Finance Officer
Git3, Administrator
