<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #14-01-010 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT <br />ORGANIZATION JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT AMENDMENT REMOVING COON <br />RAPIDS <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the Cities of Andover, Anoka, Coon Rapids and Ramsey are parties to the <br />Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization (LRRWMO) Joint Powers Agreement; <br />and, <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) approved the <br />removal of that part of the LRRWMO’s area lying within the City of Coon Rapids (290.32 acres) <br />from the LRRWMO and attaching it to the Coon Creek Watershed District; and, <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Coon Rapids is requesting each of the LRRWMO member cities <br />to approve an amendment to the LRRWMO JPA removing Coon Rapids as a party to the JPA. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1) That the City of Ramsey hereby approves an amendment to the Lower Rum River <br />Watershed Management Organization Joint Powers Agreement removing the City of Coon <br />Rapids as a party to the Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Backous <br />
