Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14-02-031 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2014 COUNCIL ORGANIZATION RESOLUTION (14-01- <br />007) <br />WHEREAS, each year the City Council adopts an organization resolution appointing members <br />of the Council and staff to Committees, Boards, etc. and such Resolution was adopted on January 14, <br />2014; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council appointed staff member Assistant to the City Administrator Patrick <br />Brama to serve as the representative on the Northstar Corridor Development Authority (NCDA); and <br />WHEREAS, it has been noticed that regulations of the NCDA do not allow a staff member to <br />be appointed — it must be an elected official - and such regulations were discussed at a Council Work <br />Session on January 28, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, during the discussion at the Work Session of January 28, 2014, Councilmember <br />Jill Johns volunteered to serve as representative and Councilmember Chris Riley volunteered to serve as <br />alternate for the NCDA; and <br />WHEREAS, Council directed staff to bring a resolution forward for adoption amending the <br />2014 Organization Resolution by appointing Councilmember Johns as representative and <br />Councilmember Riley as alternate to the NCDA. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That upon adoption of this Resolution, the City Clerk is hereby directed to amend the <br />2014 Council Organizational Resolution to remove staff member Patrick Brama as <br />representative to the NCDA and instead show the appointment of Councilmember Jill <br />Johns as representative and Councilmember Chris Riley as alternate to the NCDA. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
