Workspace Webmail :: Print
Print I Close Window
Subject: Letter
From:- Amber Chrudimsky <amber.chrudimsky@gmail.com>
Date: Wed, Feb 05, 2014 6:01 pm
To: info@littlemechildcaremn.com
City Council Members of Ramsey,
I am writing this letter while my two month old son is asleep on my chest. I look at him and see nothing but pure
innocence. As a mother, I constantly worry about his safety and well being. I know he will eventually fall and scrape his
knees, get countless bruises, and have his heart broken. As much as we want to, we can't protect our kids from
everything. But we must perfect them from everything we can, for as long as we can.
When I was pregnant with him, I researched daycare facilities in my area for months before discovering Little Me
Childcare. Amber, Jessica and their staff have so much love and passion for children and provide the most wonderful
care to the children of Ramsey. I feel lucky to have my son spend his days with such a wonderful group of people.
Tonight 1 was informed that the city has been considering allowing a gun range to move in next door to my son's
daycare. I am outraged to learn that the city I love would allow this to happen. I personally am an avid supporter of gun
rights, but they simply do NOT belong that close to children.
Accidents happen. Kids are coming and going all day long and it would only take one accidental discharge to change
someone's life forever. I know many of you are parents, so I ask you to put yourself in our shoes. I highly doubt you
would feel comfortable having your young children exposed to weapons all day long. I can't imagine what parent would
feel safe knowing that hundreds of guns were within feet of their young kids.
I am being you, please don't allow a gun range to move in next to the kids. It wouldn't be allowed so close to a school,
and this is no different. Protect the children of Ramsey. Protect their innocence for as long as possible.
Please also consider the impact it would have on the small daycare facility: parents would no doubt pull their kids from
the facility if the gun range moved in, which could ultimately lead to the business being forced to close. In the current
economic state, we simply cannot allow this to happen.
Please do what's right.
Thank you kindly for your consideration,
Amber Chrudimsky
Copyright © 2003-2014.
