Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #14-02-034 RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR TH RECONSTRUCTING GARNET STREET AND 168 AVENUE th WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct Garnet Street between 167 th Avenue and a point approximately 300 feet south of 169 Lane NW, and to assess the benefitted properties for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and th WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct 168 Avenue NW between the cul-de-sac on the west end and Garnet Street on the east end, and to assess the benefitted properties for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1.That the proposed improvement, designated as Improvement Project No. 13-10, be referred to the City Engineer for study and that the City Engineer is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember LeTourneau, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Backous Councilmember Johns Councilmember Riley Councilmember Tossey and the following voted against the same: None
