CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:31 p.m. 2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION 2.01: Review Current Draft of Housing Assistance Policy and Provide Feedback Prior to Final Draft Form Development Services Manager Gladhill reviewed that the Council authorized the formation of an Ad -Hoc Subcommittee of the Planning Commission to focus on the creation of a Housing Assistance Policy to establish a framework in which to review requests for financial or other form of assistance for housing projects. If approved, it would supplement the City's Business Subsidy Policy but would not create new funding sources or obligate to fund a specific type of housing project. He described the types of requests that could be considered, noting the establishment of a Policy will ensure an equitable and fiscally responsible application to housing assistance. Development Services Manager Gladhill thanked Planning Commissioners Randy Bauer, Joe Field, and Matthew Maul for serving on the Ad -Hoc Subcommittee of the Planning Commission and their work on this project.
