• Identify lot sizes based on demand, CBRE feedback, local business needs, etc. <br />• Adjust comprehensive plan <br />• Communicate with Engineering the needs of the park for infrastructure <br />• Create sources and uses for park, seek funding, seek user to start the park <br />Update <br />Staff will be reaching out to property owners in the proposed business park area to satisfy the first <br />bullet above. <br />(8) CBRE, City of Ramsey's Preferred Broker <br />Update <br />On January 28t Ramsey City Council and the Ramsey HRA voted to approve a contract with CBRE. <br />CBRE has started their process (gathering information, creating marketing materials, etc.) to market <br />our community and Phase One listings. Staff is working to gather information on Phase One listings <br />(utility information, etc.). On February 11t a work session is scheduled to focus on pricing of the <br />Phase One listings. Please see the attached Press Release showcasing our new relationship with <br />CBRE. <br />(9) Agreement Close -Outs <br />Staff is working to close out two satisfied Agreements —one with Professional Properties (Bertolas <br />and Pekula) and the other with Cullinan Rigging. Professional Properties has requested closing the <br />Agreement to remove the Minimum Assessment Agreement it contains. Cullinan Rigging has <br />requested a close -out in order to expand at their existing facility. <br />Update <br />Council approved closing out the above Agreements via the consent agenda. <br />(10) Business Welcome Letter <br />Staff has prepared a letter to all businesses introducing the new Economic Development Manager <br />as well as briefing businesses on our current projects. Staff will work with the Police Department to <br />combine sending the letter along with business registration renewals (PD handles sending these <br />certificates). Staff proposes sending a letter annually along with the business registration <br />certificates. This provides increased communication, a "touch" with our local businesses, and <br />reassurance that our door is open for our businesses and all. <br />Update <br />Staff worked alongside the Police Department and Administration to send out a letter to all Ramsey <br />businesses. A copy of the letter is attached. All letters have been sent. <br />(11) Greater MSP Lead Response <br />The City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Anoka Technical College, and Connexus Energy collaboratively <br />worked to respond to lead #200. Lead #200 is described in the attached document entitled <br />"Greater MSP Lead #200 ". Our response is entitled "Response to Lead #200 ". <br />Update <br />The City of Ramsey was removed from the running for Lead #200. Staff will inquire for feedback <br />(ties directly into our "Assessment of Community" priority in the 2014 EDA Workplan). Blaine, along <br />with a number of other communities, are still in the running. <br />
