(16) Legislative Update Please see the attached City of Ramsey Legislative Platform. Economic development related priorities are a part of the larger platform. (17) Lisa's Catering Lisa's Catering will soon begin occupying space in the Sunfish Commons retail center. Sunfish Commons is located near Sunfish Express and Willy McCoy's. Staff will work to welcome Lisa's to the City of Ramsey. (18) Lake Ramsey Over the past several years, the City has been refining the development plan for the area known as The COR. The COR is a mixed -use development that is home to the Northstar Commuter Rail — Ramsey Station. The Development Plan for The COR includes a future lake feature anticipated to include both active and passive recreational opportunities as well as small -scale private development. The City is looking for your help in discussing potential improvements and amenities of this area of The COR. What recreation opportunities should be studied further? What adjacent uses would help compliment this feature? Your input is important as we begin the first stages of this small area planning and design. (19) Builder /Developer Networking Event On January 29, 2014, the City hosted a successful Builder Networking Event for local contractors and builders, the first of this format hosted by Ramsey. The City set out to accomplish three goals with this event; 1) Networking, 2) Education, and 3) Improvements to City Processes and Standards. The event was attended by approximately twenty individuals representing a broad spectrum of professionals working in the development process. The Keynote Speaker was Herman Hauglid with the State of Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, speaking on the topic of an upcoming update to the Minnesota State Building Code. Panel speakers also included Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator (Strategic Plan: A New Day, A New Beginning), Ted LaFrance, Economic Development Manager (Economic Development Initiatives), and Tim Gladhill, Development Services Manager (New Development Update).
