COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #l; <br /> <br />Star CiB, Completion. <br /> <br />The progress of Star City Certification was discussed. Jim Gromberg will contact Commissioner <br />lppel to discuss progress on the incomplete elements of the project. Element 6: Five Year Capital <br />Improvement Plan will be prepared by City Staff. Element 11: Marketing Presentation was also <br />discussed. There will be a need for a Star City representative to lead the training session. Jim <br />Gromberg will contact someone from the Star City program to obtain more information regarding <br />arranging the necessary training session(s). Potential marketing team members will need to be <br />contacted in the very near future in order to schedule their training. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Continued Goal Settine for 1990. <br /> <br />The proposed goals were discussed by those Commissioners present. The view of the <br />Commissioners was that communication was indeed an important goal; however, it is a process to <br />work at on a continual basis. The Economic Development Commission needs to gather data from <br />local businesses as well as area landowners to obtain their views and opinions with regard to local <br />economic development and ways to improve upon situations. The goals set for 1990 are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance <br />Subdivision Ordinance <br />Data Base of available properties <br />Transportation <br /> <br />Case #3; <br /> <br />.Review Subcommittees. <br /> <br />The Comn'fission discussed the restructuring of the subcommittees. There were three <br />subcommittees proposed and are as follows: <br /> <br />Subc0mminee Members <br /> <br />.Task Assignment <br /> <br />Glen Hardin, Chairman <br />Barbara Wiley <br />Kenneth Wagner <br /> <br />Zoning <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Darryl Fuhs, Chairman <br />Robert Muller <br />Bernerd Vevea <br /> <br />Subdivision Ordinance <br />and Data Base of <br />Available Properties <br /> <br />Donald Greenberg, Chairman <br />Jack Ippel <br />Steve Gorecki <br /> <br />Transportation <br />Issues <br /> <br />Motion bv Commissioner Hardin and dui',, seconded by Commissioner Fuhs to set up new <br />subcommittees as listed above and dissolve the former subcommittees of Governmental Relations <br />and Public Relations. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Hardin, Fuhs, Wiley and Vevea. <br />Voting No: None.
