Service bay identification signs providing direction or <br />instruction to persons using the facility and containing no advertising material of any kind <br />shall be subject to the following: <br /> <br />1) All service bay identification signs shall be wall signs. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />There shall not be more than one (1) service bay identification sign for each service <br />bay located on the premises. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />The gross surface area of a service bay identification sign be counted against the <br />maximum allowable sign area for the subject property. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />A service bay identification sign may be located on the outermost wall of any <br />principal building adjacent to a service bay entrance. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />A service bay identification sign shall not project higher than the parapet line of the <br />wall to which the sign is to be affixed. <br /> <br />Service Island Identification Sign. Service island identification signs indicating the type of <br />service offered, the price of gasoline, and other relevant information or direction to persons <br />using the facility but containing no advertising material of any kind shall be subject to the <br />following: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />The gross surface area of a service island identification sign(s) shall be counted <br />against the maximum allowable sign area for the subject property. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Service island signs may be located on the outermost wall of any principal building <br />or at each service or pump island located on the premises. <br /> <br />Directional Signs. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Directional or Instructional signs are restricted to on-site direction and instruction <br />and shall not exceed four square feet. Such signs shall only provide direction or <br />instruction to guide persons to facilities intended to serve the public. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Parking lot directional signs designating parking area entrances and exits are limited <br />to one sign for each entrance and/or exit and shall not exceed four square feet for <br />each exposed face. Parking lot directional signs shall not project higher than five <br />(5) feet in height, as measured from the established grade of the parking area to <br />which such signs are accessory. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Parking lot instructional signs designating the conditions of use or identify of <br />parking areas shall not exceed 8 square feet and shall not project higher than 10 feet <br />in height for wall signs and 7 feet in height for ground signs, as measured from the <br />established grade of the parking area(s) to which such signs are accessory <br /> <br />Sign Ord.
