SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, April 16, 1991 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present <br /> <br />Mayor James Gflbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Coun¢ilmember Richard Cich <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Administrative Coordinator Penny On <br />Kim Knutson, Anoka County Union <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the special City Council meeting to order at 6:08 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Discuss Selection of City Administrator <br /> <br />Ms. McAloney presented the rankings of the two finalists for the City Administrator position, Mr. <br />Ryan Schroeder and Mr. Ken Huber. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin commented that the Search Committee reviewed all the reference checks <br />and both candidates had received excellent references. He stated the Committee is recommending <br />that City Council offer the position of City Administrator to Ryan Schroeder. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the salary and benefit packages and gave their personal opinions of the <br />candidates.. <br /> <br />Ms. McAloney stated all of the requests are negotiable. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to offer the City <br />Administrator position to Ryan Schroeder. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Cich and <br />Hardin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gilbertson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize the Search <br />Committee to negotiate the specifics. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
